Atukula (Rice Flakes) Chuduva



When it is rinning we like to eat some thing spicy and crunchy one At that time the very first name we remember is Attukula Chuduva. We call atukulu as poha or rice flakes.Children like it very much and you can offer without hesitation as less oil is used. Just 5 min to make. 

Ingredients:

- poha (rice flakes)      4 cups
- onion                         1 big
- chillies                       1
- salt
- turmeric powder
- red chili powder

TEMPERING

- 2 tbsp oil
- few peanuts
- cashew nuts(opt)
- 1 tsp channa dal
- 1 tsp split urad dal
- 1 red chilli (optional)
- 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/4 tsp jeera
- 3 curry leaf

PROCEDURE


- chop onion and chili.
-take oil in a wide pan (khadai) and heat it. Add  peanuts, cashew, channa dal, urad dal, mustard seeds, jeera, cut red chili one by one. Fry them till the urad dal turns into light yellow colour. Now add curryleaf,  Add cut chilies add  onions, and fry till they turn into red colour. Add turmeric powder.
-now add poha and stir it continuously till all flakes becomes puffy and crispy.It takes just 5 min. 
 -sprinkle  salt and red chili powder and mix thoroughly. 
-ready to eat.

Tips:

- thin poha easy to make.
- more spicy, add coriander powder.
- as red chili is finely roasted crush it and eat.
