Halwa means easy making sweet that too kesari
means more easy. At the time of unexpected guests always preferable.
Ingredients:
-sujji rava 1 cup
-sugar 1 cup
-milk 1 cup
-water 2 cups
-cardamom 1 (Ilachi)
-kesari food colour (pinch)
(optional)
-ghee 1 tbsp
-dry fruits
Procedure:
-Mix milk, sugar and kesari colour and
boil it till the sugar mixes with the milk.
-Remove them from ghee and keep them
aside.
-Now fry sujji rava in the remaining
ghee on the low flame with continuous stirring.
-When it slightly changes its colour
turn off the flame.
- Take a sauce pan and boil water
till bubbles arise.
- Now turn the flame low & add
fried rava slowly with continuous stirring so that lumps shouldn’t form.
- Now add the milk to it & stir
once again.
- Add dry fruits and cover it &
turn off the flame.
Tips:
- You can vary the sugar measurement
as per your taste.
- You can vary the quantity of water
as per the softness you like.
- You can substute ghee with oil.
-if milk is not available, after adding rava add sugar and stir continuously till the sugar melts. No need of milk.
- More ghee more yummy taste.
