Eating
chapathi with kurma is the best choice. If you like spicy food you have to try
it.
Ingredients:
- Potato 1(big)
- Tomato 1 (big)
- Onions 2(big)
- Green chilli 1
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
- Garam masala 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder ¼ tsp
- Salt
- Turmeric powder
- 1 bay leaf
- oil ¼ cup
- Corriander leaves (optional)
- Curry leaf 2 (optional)
Masala:
- 1 inch coconut piece(dry or fresh)
- 1 tsp kus –kus
- 1 tsp watermelon seeds (optional)
- 2 cashew nuts
- 2 almonds
- 1 sp sesame seeds(optional)
- 1 sp coriander seeds
- ¼ Jeera
- Now grind all these together into a
fine paste.
- If necessary add little water.
Procedure:
- Take a non-stick or heavy body
deep pan with 3 tbsp oil and keep it on low
flame.
- Once the oil is heated add ginger
,garlic paste .Stir it continuously until oil separates
-Add bay leaf, splitted chilly and
pasted masala. Fry it till brown colour appears. Stir it continuously to avoid
sticking.
-Add finely chopped onions and saute it till it turns brown.
-Add finely chopped tomato till it
becomes soft.
-Add potato pieces and let it fry
for 2min
-Add salt, turmeric powder, garam
masala, curry leaf and 1cup of water. Stir it and close the lid. Cook it on a
low flame till oil separates. Stir it occasionally.
-Taste it and if necessary add red
chilly powder.
-If necessary add water and let it cook for awhile. Turn off
the flame and garnish with chopped coriander leaf.
Tips:
-You can also add peas, rajma, soya
beans, cauliflower, carrot, beatroot, beans etc……..
-In the absence of coriander & Jeera seeds you can use their powder.
-In the absence of coriander & Jeera seeds you can use their powder.
