BEETROOT HALWA

By seeing the name do not skip it. I know most of you do not like beetroot. But I am posting mainly for such people  because, beetroot   is good for health and halwa is very tasty one. The procedure is very easy. You really feel it much tastier than carrot halwa.

          INGREDIENTS
            -1 cup beetroot (grated)
            - 3/4 cup sugar
            - ¼ ltr milk (whole cream milk)
            -cashew, badam etc.,
            - 1 tbsp ghee (or oil)

       Procedure:
-Take a wide thick pan with ghee and heat it.
-Fry grated beetroot till nice smell comes.
-Now add milk. Cover the pan with lid and cook with low flame, stir
occasionally. Once it becomes soft remove the lid and on medium flame,
go on stirring till all the milk evaporates. Now add sugar and continue
stirring. Once halwa looks thick  and doesnt stick to your finger when you touch it it is done.

- add fried nuts.

-now ready to eat.
           TIPS :
-If you fry in a pressure cooker (Pan) it is very easy. After adding milk put the lid and weight.cook for 5 minutes. After it becomes cool, remove the lid and continue the procedure.
-If you keep on stove for a long time, halwa will become hard when it become cool. if the sugar doesnt form into pakam, it doesnt taste yummy.
