Those who like spiciness,can prefer chilli chutney. You can store it for 7 to 10 days. This is good combination with any dosa, iddli or vada along with coconut chutney also. Use tender green chillies which are very less spiciness.
Ingredients:
-1 cup cut green chilies
-1/4 cup chopped onions(opt)
-1tbsp grated jaggery(approx)
- tamarind extract
-salt
-1 tsp oil
Procedure:
-heat oil in a pan and saute chilies till they turn pale. Now add onion pieces.
-now grind all ingredients together.
-taste it. if needed add salt or jaggery or tamarind.
-if needed add water. It shouldnt be so thick or so loose.
-add tarka for better taste.
Tarka:
1/2 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp split urad dal
1 red chilli (optional)
1/8 tsp mustard seeds
1/8 tsp jeera
1 curry leaf
-take oil in a small pan (khadai) and heat it. Add urad dal, mustard seeds, jeera, red chilli one by one. Fry them till the urad dal turns into light yellow colour. Now add curry leaves . Add it to the chutney.
-enjoy the chutney.
